Two police officers were among five people hospitalized early Friday morning after a West Side crash that caused a police SUV to flip over, officials said.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 12:10 a.m. near the intersection of South Homan Avenue and West Congress Parkway.
A police SUV was traveling northbound on Homan Avenue when it was struck by a black sedan traveling westbound on Congress Parkway, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
