WATAUGA (CBSDFW.COM) – Watauga Police arrested a man believed to have attempted to kidnap a girl April 14.
Police say they’ve arrested James Earl Williams Sr., Saturday and charged him with Attempted Aggravated Kidnapping and Injury to a Child with Intent to Bodily Injure.
He is being held on a total of $1, 250, 000 bond for both charges.
According to the 11-year-old victim, she was walking home from school when a man attacked and tried to kidnap her.
The 11-year-old said, “He was facing this way and I was facing that way. He just like hooked his arm around my neck. He kind of like pushed me into the car, the top of the car.”
Police used surveillance footage to track down Williams.
Officials believe this is the second time he tried to abduct a child and they’re worried what he’s going to do next.
He is being held at the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Center.
