Lake County Sheriff's Deputy injured in rush hour crash in North Chicago - You can buff that out!


A Deputy from the Lake County Sheriff's Office with a checkered driving past was injured in a traffic accident Thursday that closed down both lanes of Route 41 in North Chicago during the morning rush hour.



The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Route 41 south of the Casimir Pulaski Drive bridge just before 7 a.m. Thursday, said North Chicago Fire Cmdr. Joshua Rickabaugh.



The squad car suffered major front-end damage and the officer was taken to a local hospital. The extent of the injuries weren't known early Thursday evening.
